Active and Passive Voice
Raju helps Hari .
Hari is helped by Raju .
Both are sentences are described same action. But, the first statement the form of the verb shows that Raju – the subject of the sentence – is doing something , is active , whereas the second sentence is showing that Hari- the subject of the sentence is inactive (passive) .
When form of the verb indicate that the sentence is active then it is said to be in Active voice . Similarly when the form indicates that the subject is passive it is referred to as passive voice .
जब वर्ब से ऐसा प्रकट होता है कि करता स्वयं कार्य कर रहा है तब उसे एक्टिव वॉइस में होना कहा जाता है और जब वह अभी से ऐसा प्रकट होता है कि करता स्वयं कार्य नहीं कर रहा है बल्कि कोई उसके लिए कार्य कर रहाहै तब उसे पसिव वाइस कहा जाता है।
To effectively deliver the message, it is important that we know not only how to change the voice of sentence but also when to use the active voice and when to use passive voice.
Let us see the active and passive forms of some more sentence……..
Active voice -1)Mahesh has designed this building.
2) who broke the glass.
3) Romeo loved Juliet.
Passive voice – 1) this building has been designed by Mahesh.
2) by whom was the glass broken.
3) Juliet was loved by Romeo.
The active voice is used when the doer of the action is to be given more prominence , whereas passive voice is used when the person or thing on which the action is being performed is to be highlighted .
संदेश को प्रभावशाली ढंग से पेश करने के लिए आवश्यक है कि हमें पता होगी कैसे वाक्य में वाच्य को बदला जा सकता है साथ ही यह भी उतना ही महत्वपूर्ण है कि हमें पता होगी कब Active voice कब पेसिव वाइस का प्रयोग करना है ।
Active voice का प्रयोग उसी समय किया जाता है जब कार्य करने वाले कोअहमियत देना होता है। और वही पेसिव वॉइस का प्रयोग उस समय किया जाता है जब तवज्जो उसे दिया जाता है जिस पर काम का प्रभाव पड़ता है।
